Engineer Rubén Rojkés talks with us about Avanco and the growth opportunities arising in the Argentinian construction sector for 2019. Civil Engineer Ruben Rojkes has been a true estate developer for over twenty five years, “building the dreams of the individuals”.
1. What was your motivation when making Avanco?
AVANCO is an acronym that comes from advancing by building. I’m a civil engineer and construction is a passion for me. I decided to move forward in life, building, making, that’s what I’m passionate about. Once I ask myself, Ruben, what is what makes you fill the foremost fulfilled regarding your work, I am not passionate about buying and selling solely, I need to build, manufacture, develop a product, that’s what I love.
2. What was your first successful project?
It had been the first building I built that I launched almost 28 years ago; it absolutely was a very tiny building, in the road San Luis 77. It consisted of only 11 units with one or 2 bedrooms, with a lobby and two higher floors, without elevator. I sold it quickly. It was my initial work, and thank God, all the works I have done are successful and fully sold.
3. How do you manage the balance between family life and your work?
I think family must be considered as the foremost important COMPANY we tend to have, that implies that we must take care of it, dedicate time to them, correct if one makes miscalculation, enjoy it. My family is my support, my motivation, I relish it terribly much, and I continually attempt to form time to share with them. I relish spending time with my wife and children. While my youngsters are grown, we tend to still share a lot of fine times. I perpetually create time those moments, with journeys, meals, or playing sports with them.
4. What recommendation would you give to future entrepreneurs?
I would tell them to be passionate and place a heap of dedication to what they do. That they obtain recommendation from people with additional experience. I consulted a heap of veterans after I was not clear or I had doubts concerning a project. Work with a team of folks who are passionate regarding what they do. It is an activity that you simply will’t do while not a smart team.
5. What are the foremost innovative comes that have been developed in the region?
I think that at the Housing and Countries level, our company is the one that is innovating the most in the Region, with the kind of amenities of our projects, and also the experience of the architects that we tend to have, we tend to are operating with a modern design and we tend to are in continuous evolution.
We tend to recently completed a residential building called The Purpose, in which we have a tendency to left standing a lovely old facade of a house that is over 100 years previous, and combined it with beautiful fashionable buildings.
